Quality Inspection Technician, 1st Shift (7:00AM - 3:10PM)
Starting Pay: $18.75/hour

The Quality Inspection Technician performs inspection and related tasks to ensure all piston rings meet required quality standards prior to shipment. This role follows standard work instructions, adheres to safety and quality policies, and supports overall inspection accuracy and efficiency in a team-based environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform visual and measurement-based inspections to ensure piston rings meet quality specifications
- Verify product identification, laser markings, and traceability requirements
- Identify, document, and report defects or non-conforming product
- Accurately record inspection results (Kanbans, scrap logs, and production reports)
- Reconcile inspection documentation prior to release for packaging and shipment
- Maintain measurement standards, including stack height and scale verification
- Support related processes such as sampling, packaging, and marking (painting) as needed
- Maintain a clean, organized workspace and follow 5S, safety, and quality procedures
- Communicate effectively with the Inspection Supervisor and support team operations
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- Climate-controlled inspection lab with nearby production activity
- Noise level ranges from quiet to moderate
- Required PPE: gloves, safety glasses, and steel/metatarsal-toe shoes
- Ability to remain stationary for extended periods
- Frequent handling of small parts requiring fine motor skills
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally (team lift required for heavier items)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed

Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- 1–2 years of manufacturing, automotive, or quality-related experience preferred
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet visual inspection requirements
- Demonstrated manual dexterity for handling small parts
- Basic math and reading skills
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Ability to communicate effectively and work in a team environment
