Position Overview:
NPORT staffing is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist (OT) to provide services at one of our client's Rehabilitation and Nursing Centers in the Bronx, NY. This role involves working with both short-term rehabilitation patients and long-term care residents to improve independence, functional ability, and quality of life.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate residents' physical, cognitive, and functional abilities
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Provide therapeutic interventions to improve daily living skills (ADL)
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including physical therapists, speech therapists, nursing staff, and physicians
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with facility and regulatory standards
- Educate patients, families, and caregivers on treatment plans and home programs
- Ensure compliance with all state, federal, and facility guidelines.
Qualifications:
- Valid Occupational Therapist license in the state of New York
- Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Strong clinical, communication, and organizational skills
- Experience in a rehabilitation or skilled nursing facility preferred
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment
