A well-established cardiovascular surgery group in Tyler, TX is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner (or PA) to join its surgical team. This is a full-time permanent position that offers a mix of OR first/second assist and inpatient rounding, with a rotating schedule that includes weekends and 1:3 phone call.
You’ll work alongside a collaborative team of 4 providers plus support staff, managing 15–20 patients per day in both operative and inpatient settings. Located just 90 minutes from Dallas and Shreveport, this community offers a vibrant quality of life with easy access to outdoor recreation, cultural events, and a low cost of living.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the OR (first and second assist in cardiovascular procedures).
- Manage inpatient rounding, daily assessments, and treatment planning.
- Provide perioperative and postoperative patient management.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team for comprehensive cardiovascular care.
- Rotate weekend shifts and participate in 1:3 phone call schedule.
Requirements
- Active Texas APRN license (or PA license).
- 2 years of cardiology or cardiovascular surgery experience required.
- AGACNP certification preferred.
- Strong surgical first-assist skills and inpatient management experience.
- Excellent communication and team collaboration.
