Job Description
- Provide direct occupational therapy services to address sensory-motor, functional, and developmental needs.
- Conduct screenings, evaluations, and assessments to identify occupational performance deficits.
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized occupational therapy treatment plans and goals.
- Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to align therapy goals with educational programming.
- Support transition planning and exit planning for students receiving occupational therapy services.
- Provide consultation, training, and guidance to staff and families on classroom and home strategies.
- Supervise and provide direction to occupational therapy assistants as assigned.
- Prepare and maintain accurate documentation, reports, and records in compliance with regulations.
Qualifications
- Masters degree from an accredited occupational therapy program (ACOTE-approved).
- Completion of all required fieldwork and eligibility for NBCOT certification.
- Valid California Occupational Therapist license issued by the California Board of Occupational Therapy.
- Knowledge of occupational therapy principles related to physical, sensory, and developmental functioning.
- Ability to assess, plan, and implement interventions for sensory-motor and functional deficits.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with students, families, and educational staff.
