Job Description

A growing healthcare organization is seeking an HR Assistant to support day-to-day people operations across recruiting, onboarding, HR systems, benefits administration, reporting, and employee engagement. This role is ideal for someone who is organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working across multiple HR functions in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Post job openings and coordinate interviews with candidates and hiring managers
  • Support onboarding by launching and tracking tasks and ensuring all new hire documentation is complete and compliant
  • Serve as a primary support resource for Paylocity and assist with maintaining employee records and self-service tools
  • Help process employee data changes and assist with payroll-related updates as needed
  • Enroll employees in benefit plans and process qualifying life events
  • Review and audit monthly insurance invoices and coordinate with vendors to resolve discrepancies
  • Track training completions, anniversaries, assessments, and other key HR activities
  • Build HR reports, charts, and process documentation for leadership and annual review cycles
  • Coordinate trainings, staff meetings, and employee events, including scheduling, materials, and logistics
  • Prepare and assist with quarterly HR updates and presentations
  • Maintain confidentiality and support compliance with HR policies, procedures, and recordkeeping best practices

Qualifications

  • 2 years of experience in HR, HRIS, office administration, or a related field preferred
  • Experience with Paylocity or another HRIS/ATS platform preferred
  • Strong Excel, reporting, and organizational skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • MediClear or equivalent HIPAA certification required
