We are seeking a Staff Accountant to join our team. Reporting to the Senior Accountant, the Staff Accountant will be responsible for assisting with daily accounting duties including journal entries, account reconciliations, creation of trial balances and financial statements, performing lease accounting and fixed assets accounting including learning depreciation rules and compliance with GAAP. The position will also assist the team in it's monthly and annual financial closing processes and will also interact with external auditors providing requested information during interim and year-end financial audits. In addition, the position will participate with teams conducting due diligence on various types of proposed transactions including acquisitions, dispositions, and changes in accounting pronouncements as it relates to GAAP compliance.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting
- Minimum two years experience in one of the following types of positions: staff accountant for a medium to large sized company performing duties somewhat similar to those described above OR two years in a public accounting firm where responsibilities included performing aspects of financial statement audits.
- Candidates should be intimately familiar with Microsoft Office, especially Excel
- Preference for candidates with advanced degrees and eligiblity to sit for the CPA exam in some state
