POSITION SUMMARY:
Directs and coordinates activities concerned with production of company products in the Resin and Bucketwash departments by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Coordinates daily, weekly, & monthly activities and supervise the activities of the leadmen and their operators on the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts.
- Confers with management personnel to establish production and quality control standards, develop budget and cost controls, and to obtain data regarding types, quantities, specifications, and delivery dates of products ordered.
- Attends Supervisor Safety Meeting and conducts employee safety/communication meetings as required. Ensures that all Team Members and Supervisors follow NPAA safety policies, work rules, S.O.P.s and Process Control Tables.
- Plans and directs production activities and establishes production priorities for products in keeping with effective operations and cost factors.
- Coordinates production activities with procurement, maintenance, and quality control activities to obtain optimum production and utilization of human resources, machines, and equipment.
- Reviews and analyzes production, quality control, maintenance, and operational reports to determine causes of nonconformity with product specifications, and operating or production problems.
- Provide and/or coordinate training for Team Members and assist in the continuous development of the departmental training program.
- Develops and implements operating methods and procedures designed to eliminate operating problems and improve product quality.
- Revises production schedules and priorities as result of equipment failure or operating problems.
- Consults with engineering personnel relative to modification of machines and equipment in order to improve production and quality of products.
- Administers performance appraisals an a prompt and professional manner
- Compiles, stores, and retrieves production data.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
- BS in Chemistry or Engineering
- 5 years of manufacturing supervisory experience
- Experience with applicable EPA and OSHA regulations including PSM
- Experience with reactive chemistry and control systems
- Experience with SAP
- Strong computer skills with emphasis on data analysis
- Experience with VPC
- Excellent analytical skills and ability to work independently
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
SALARY RANGE:
$100,783.06 to $168,124.76 annually. Compensation for this role is negotiable based on experience and skill set.
