Summary
NP Environmental an established and successful HVAC company looking for a service technician with a strong mechanical background, a focus in HVAC, ductwork, piping assemblies, low voltage wiring, and schematic review. Candidate should also possess solid leadership skills and have experience in a team environment, including setting day-to-day tasks, working with General Contractors and other trades, and setting the pace and direction of projects. Must have a willingness to travel to job sites and have basic tools. Our company is rapidly expanding and will provide many opportunities for advancement.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Ability to work in a team environment and make decisions as required.
- Understand and interpret Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID’s)
- Interface with customers at job site and provide excellent customer service.
- Review and follow up on equipment failures, utilizing root cause failure analysis, and offer solutions and own corrective actions to prevent future failures.
- Strong desire to learn new technologies and practices.
- Must have a working telephone, and be able to respond to call-ins
General Requirements: Maintain and enforce a safe work environment and be always safety conscious.
- HVAC two-year degree or 5 years field experience (preferably service department)
- EPA Certification is preferred
- IGSPA certification is preferred
- Defensive driving course is preferred
- Field driving certification with NP instructor (must pass to drive for NP Environmental)
- Trouble shooting experience
- Excellent communications & customer service skills.
Physical Requirements:
- Capable of standing for an extended period
- Able to frequently lift and/or carry 50 pounds
- Ability to sit for extended periods
- Physically capable of climbing stairs, bending, twisting, kneeling, crouching or crawling
- Able to use hands and arms to grasp, push, pull, reach with hands and arms, or lift above shoulder level
- Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, color vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus
Compensation: $20-$35 per hour (Based on skills and experience)
