Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Certified Medical Assistant or Licensed Practical Nurse to join our healthcare team. Duties
- Perform patient intake procedures, including collecting medical histories and documenting symptoms
- Measure and record vital signs accurately
- Assist with clinical procedures such as medication administration, injections, and basic life support when necessary
- Manage patient flow ensuring efficient scheduling and documentation
- Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR systems) and ensure compliance with medical documentation standards
- Provide patient education on treatment plans, medication usage, and health maintenance
- Assist in preparing patients for examinations or procedures in various specialties such as dermatology, internal medicine, or emergency care
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols and infection control standards within clinical environments
Skills
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, and ICD coding practices
- Experience working in urgent care or outpatient clinics.
- Familiarity with EHR systems and medical administrative support functions
- Ability to perform clinical tasks such as vital signs collection, medication administration, and basic life support (BLS) certification preferred
- Excellent patient service skills with compassionate communication abilities
- Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environments such as hospital settings or outpatient clinics
- Knowledge of inpatient care protocols and outpatient treatment procedures
