About Nox Metals. American factories deserve a supply chain that moves as fast as they do. Nox Metals is building it, along with the tools that run it. We’re a technology company in Metro Detroit supplying aluminum plate, bar, and rounds to aerospace and defense manufacturers. We use software and automation to supply metal to American factories faster than the industry thought possible.

The role. We’re hiring a Business Development Representative to create qualified conversations by phone. You will call manufacturers, learn how they buy aluminum, identify real needs, and earn the next step for our sales team.

This is a high-activity, skill-building role. Success requires preparation, resilience, careful listening, and honest records. The goal is not to read a script as quickly as possible.

You will:

• Research targeted accounts and identify relevant contacts
• Make consistent outbound calls and follow up by email
• Explain Nox Metals clearly and ask useful discovery questions
• Qualify material needs, timing, buying process, and potential fit
• Schedule well-prepared handoffs to inside or outside sales
• Follow up on campaigns, events, dormant accounts, and selected inbound leads
• Record accurate notes, outcomes, and next steps in the CRM
• Review call results and improve messaging with coaching
• Learn aluminum products, common applications, and customer terminology
• Protect customer trust by avoiding claims or commitments you cannot support

• Interested in developing a career in industrial sales

Nice to have:

• Phone sales, customer service, fundraising, recruiting, or appointment-setting experience
• Experience in manufacturing, automotive, machining, distribution, or another industrial environment
• Experience with CRM and sales-engagement tools
• Demonstrated success in a high-activity role
• Comfort using AI tools for account research and call preparation

Compensation Range: $70K - $86K
