Job Overview

We’re seeking skilled, fast-paced bartenders to join our dynamic team at Nowhere Bar. The ideal candidate has a passion for mixology, thrives in a high-volume environment, and is committed to delivering exceptional customer service. This is a hybrid service role — while your primary focus will be bartending, you may also assist with guest service on the floor during peak hours. A solid knowledge of shots, speed behind the bar, and a consistently positive attitude are non-negotiable. We’re building a team of problem-solvers, multitaskers, and hospitality pros who keep the energy up and the drinks flowing.

Duties

• Craft & Serve Drinks: Prepare alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages—cocktails, shots, and classics—quickly and accurately in a high-volume setting, following standard recipes and guest preferences.
• Guest Engagement: Provide friendly, attentive service at the bar and on the floor; take orders, offer recommendations, and ensure every guest leaves happy.
• Bar Maintenance: Keep the bar spotless, organized, and fully stocked throughout the shift, including washing glassware, utensils, and surfaces.
• Inventory & Restocking: Monitor beverage, garnish, and supply levels; restock proactively and communicate low-stock needs to management.
• Transaction Handling: Process cash and card payments accurately using Square POS and maintain balanced registers.
• Hybrid Service Support: Jump in where needed—run drinks, coordinate food with the kitchen, or assist servers during peak periods.
• Team Communication: Collaborate seamlessly with bartenders, barbacks, servers, and kitchen staff to keep service flowing.
• Compliance & Safety: Uphold all TABC regulations, responsible alcohol service practices, and food-safety standards.
• Training & Mentorship: Assist in onboarding and coaching new team members on recipes, speed techniques, and hospitality best practices.
• Professionalism Under Pressure: Stay calm, efficient, and positive—even when the bar is three-deep.Skills
• Strong knowledge of bartending techniques, cocktail recipes, and beverage preparation.
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with patrons.
• Proficiency in cash handling and experience using cash registers or point-of-sale systems like Aloha POS.
• Familiarity with food safety practices in a restaurant or food service environment.
• Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
• Previous experience in sales or food service is preferred but not required.
• Strong communication skills and teamwork mentality are essential for success in this role.

What We’re Looking For:

• Minimum 1 year of high-volume bartending experience preferred
• Strong cocktail and shot knowledge with the ability to move quickly and accurately
• Team-first mentality and excellent communication skills
• Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to handle a fast-moving environment
• TABC certification
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
