Job Overview
Established local neighborhood bar and grill, with 28 years in business, looking to add to our bar team. This position offers 2-4 shifts per week, mainly nights and weekends with the occasional day shift. Experience in bartending is strongly preferred. Experience with pool and dart leagues is a plus.
Duties
- Prepare and serve a wide range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages with precision, adhering to recipes and presentation standards.
- Engage with guests in a friendly, energetic manner, providing excellent customer service that enhances their overall experience.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area ensuring compliance with food safety and sanitation standards at all times.
- Manage cash handling and POS transactions by accurately processing orders and payments.
- Monitor guest consumption responsibly, recognizing signs of intoxication and taking appropriate actions to ensure safety.
- Restock bar supplies efficiently during shifts, including alcohol, mixers, garnishes, and glassware.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure all food orders meet quality standards.
- Uphold all food handling procedures and safety regulations related to the food industry and hospitality standards.
- Demonstrate strong time management skills to handle multiple tables or bar stations simultaneously while maintaining high-quality service.
- Promote sales by recommending specialty drinks or promotions to enhance guest satisfaction and increase revenue.
Skills
- Familiarity with POS systems.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests warmly while maintaining professionalism under pressure.
- Strong knowledge of food handling procedures and alcohol serving regulations.
- Ability to manage time effectively in fast-paced environment.
- Basic math skills for cash handling, billing accuracy, and retail math calculations related to sales transactions.
- Exceptional communication skills to coordinate seamlessly with team members across various service areas.

Pay: $10.00 - $30.00 per hour
