Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and diagnose speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders in patients of all ages
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address patients' needs and goals
- Provide therapy sessions to improve speech, language, and communication skills
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and ensure optimal outcomes
- Monitor and document patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary
- Educate patients and their families on speech therapy techniques and strategies for continued improvement
- Stay up-to-date with the latest research and advancements in the field of speech-language pathology
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current state license or eligibility for licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA)
- Experience working in a pediatric setting preferred
- Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology related to speech and swallowing disorders
- Strong assessment and diagnostic skills to evaluate patients' communication abilities
- Ability to develop and implement effective treatment plans based on individual needs
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals
- Strong organizational skills to manage caseload and documentation requirements
