Retail Associate

Now that's A Deal is the newest discount store in the treasure valley! We opened July 2024. We sell overstock/returns/liquidation from major retailers such as Amazon, Target & Walmart. The way we sell the products is what makes us unique. On Tuesday, everything in the store is $8. Whatever doesn't sell that day is then $4 on Wednesday, $2 on Thursday, $1 on Friday and whatever is left on Saturday is .25 cents. We then restock the entire store and the process starts all over again the following Tuesday.

We are professional, agile and fast-paced.

Responsibilities

- Provide exceptional customer service, answering questions, and addressing concerns in a friendly and professional manner.
- Assist customers with purchases, answering questions about products and services.
- Manage and maintain store inventory, including stocking shelves and handling cash register transactions.
- Develop and maintain a thorough knowledge of products and services offered by the store.
- Utilize basic math skills to handle cash and operate a cash register accurately.
- Perform cash handling duties, including counting change and handling cash register deposits.
- Supervise and assist other sales associates as needed to ensure efficient and effective sales operations.
- Participate in visual merchandising and store displays to enhance the overall shopping experience.
- Maintain a clean and organized store environment, adhering to company standards and policies.
- Meet sales targets and contribute to the overall success of the store.

Requirements

-Work hours are Tue-Sat 10AM-6PM, candidates that have conflicts with that work schedule will not be considered.

- Candidates are required to be comfortable with being on their feet and active during a work shift. Aside from breaks and lunches, employees are working on their feet at all times.

- At this time, we are currently only seeking full time positions. Temporary/part time/seasonal positions will not be considered.

- Candidates must all be comfortable and able to lift 75 pounds regularly.

- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Prior experience in retail sales is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to sell and promote products and services effectively.
- Basic math skills.
- Ability to operate a cash register accurately and efficiently.
- Experience with cash handling and cash register transactions.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances.
- Availability to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Ability to lift and move merchandise as needed.
