Pay Rate:

The pay rate for this job is $18.50-19.50 / hour*

What You'll Do as a Shipping Clerk:

• Essential Duties and Responsibilities 
• Other duties as assigned
• Picking outbound deliveries using RF device
• Perform quality checks of outbound Parcel, LTL, FTL deliveries for count accuracy, correct material, and visual inspection
• Process outbound deliveries for shipping via SAP functions and using shipping software
• Load all boxes in trailer(s)
• Communicate with carriers to obtain scheduled pick up
• Assist with tracking and updates with status of outgoing shipments
• Assist other areas as required
• Engage with vendors and drivers with positive attitude
• Maintain an orderly and safe environment
• Comply with all safety regulations and guidelines
• Perform and complete all related Lean/5S objectives
• ISO general knowledge

Job Requirements:

• Applicants must be at least 18 years of age to be considered for employment with PeopleReady
• Minimum Qualifications
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum 2-year related experience
• Equipment certification
• Knowledge of Microsoft Word or equivalent software application
• Education and/or Experience
• High school diploma or equivalent, minimum 2-year related experience
• Fluent in English
• Ability to work within the team environment to accomplish specified goal
• Must understand handling, packaging, delivery systems and functions
• Excellent written, verbal, and organizational skills
• Communicate effectively with all levels of staff
• Ability to operate forklifts, pallet jacks and other related material-handling equipment
• Familiarity with Radio Frequency (RF) equipment is preferred
• Desired Traits and Characteristics
• Experience with Lean, Six Sigma and ISO 9001-2015
• Desire to work in a fast-paced and energetic warehouse
• Accurate, thorough and efficient
• Excellent time management skills
• Willingness to work flexible hour workweeks, including weekends, nights and holidays
• Focus on cleanliness and organization
• Desire and willingness to seek out problems and drive permanent resolution
• Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
• Forklift, reach truck, and order picker general certification
• Lean/5S experience
• Background check and Drug screening required
