VP/SVP, Data & Analytics

Novus
Chicago, IL Full Time
POSTED ON 12/24/2025
AVAILABLE BEFORE 2/24/2026

POSITION SUMMARY:

Novus is building a modern, identity-driven data and media intelligence platform designed to connect planning, activation, measurement, and insights through a unified Data Spine. We are seeking a Vice President of Analytics who can be part of the team that will bring this vision to life helping to implement measurement and insights across scalable solutions, leading deliverables across multiple workstreams, and serving as a trusted advisor to clients, partners, and internal teams.

The ideal candidate is a hybrid analytics leader — part strategist, part builder, and part translator — who can connect identity, personalization, AI, and media measurement into a coherent, scalable analytics vision for Novus.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead the day-to-day analytics and reporting function for Novus, including insight generation, measurement frameworks, campaign reporting, and executive-level presentation of results.
  • Collaborate on the design and rollout of the agency’s next-generation reporting ecosystem, including taxonomy governance, data QA standards, automation opportunities, and vendor oversight.
  • Lead integration of identity and personalization strategy, ensuring analytics and data are leveraged to enable audience understanding, addressability, and personalized media experiences across channels.
  • Partner with technology and data engineering leadership to shape and activate AI-driven platforms and tools, including applications that enhance insight generation, optimization, automation, and decision support.
  • Translate business questions into analytical requirements and ensure operational excellence in how data flows from source to insights.
  • Develop and present clear, compelling stories for clients, elevating analytics from reporting to a core decision-making and planning driver across omnichannel media.
  • Oversee and mentor a team of analysts (2–3 direct reports initially, with expected growth), including hiring, coaching, performance management, and capability development.
  • Serve as a measurement leader across omnichannel media (digital, programmatic, retail, local, geo-level, and offline), ensuring methodological rigor and practical application.
  • Collaborate closely with activation, planning, strategy, technology architecture, and investment/product offerings teams to define, improve, and operationalize analytics-led solutions, including:
    • Data capture and tagging strategies
    • Testing and incrementality frameworks
    • Audience performance and personalization measurement
    • New analytics-enabled products and services
  • Act as a strategic partner in the creation and evolution of new data-, analytics-, and AI-driven offerings, ensuring they are measurable, scalable, and aligned to client needs.
  • Support new business pitches and strategic client conversations as a visible expert, storyteller, and trusted advisor.
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor or department head

REQUIREMENTS:

  • 10 years of experience in marketing analytics, media measurement, or related data-driven roles.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead analytics teams, develop talent, and scale analytical capabilities.
  • Strong fluency in omnichannel media, including digital and programmatic activation, as well as local and retail media environments.
  • Experience working with enterprise data environments (Snowflake strongly preferred).
  • Comfort partnering with data engineering, data ops, and technology architecture teams; able to translate analytical needs into technical and product requirements.
  • Hands-on familiarity with modeling, testing, incrementality, identity resolution, personalization, and media measurement methodologies.
  • Exposure to or experience with AI-driven analytics, automation tools, or decision-support platforms, with the ability to apply them pragmatically to real business use cases.
  • Exceptional communication skills — able to translate complex data into clear, business-ready narratives.
  • Experience overseeing reporting systems, dashboards, taxonomies, and analytics governance frameworks.
  • Strong client-facing presence and storytelling ability; comfortable presenting to senior and executive stakeholders.

Please Note: While this role is listed as in-person, we offer a hybrid work model that provides flexibility to work remotely most the time. The specifics of the hybrid schedule will be discussed during the interview process, but candidates should anticipate being in the office as needed to collaborate with the team and meet role-specific needs.

We are only looking for candidates in/around the Chicago Metro Area and do not offer relocation assistance.
