What are the responsibilities and job description for the Project Review Specialist position at Novus?
Key responsibilities
- Documentation analysis: Review and analyze a variety of project documents, such as HOA questionnaires, budgets, balance sheets, financial statements, reserve studies, engineer reports, master insurance policies, appraisals, project legal documents, litigation claims.
- Eligibility determination: Evaluate projects for compliance with guidelines from secondary market investors like Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, FHA, and VA to determine if they are "warrantable" or "non-warrantable".
- Communication: Effectively communicate with internal teams to gather additional information and resolve discrepancies.
- Compliance and quality control: Ensure projects meet all required guidelines and service-level standards, maintaining a high level of quality and compliance throughout the loan process.
Required skills and qualifications
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under deadlines
- Ability to evaluate alternatives and identify solutions
- Knowledge of mortgage credit guidelines and policies, particularly those from Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, FHA and VA is required.
- Familiarity with Encompass, is preferred.
- Non-warrantable condo review experience is a plus.
Pay range $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
