Professional Staff Nurse, BSN required – Emergency Department
Location: Harrisburg, PA 17101 (On-site – Downtown Harrisburg area)
Schedule: Evening Shift (11:00 AM – 11:00 PM or 3:00 PM – 3:00 AM; 36 Hours/Week, Rotating Weekends & Holidays)
Starting Base Pay: $40.71 – $43.46 per hour (Starting pay based on experience, with clear advancement pathways as you build specialized expertise.)
Future Earning Potential: Established employees have the opportunity to earn progressive pay increases up to $51.73 per hour over time through performance, tenure, and continuous learning.
Job Type: Full-Time, Direct-Hire (Permanent placement on company payroll with immediate full benefits; not a temporary job)
How You'll Make an Impact
- Emergency Clinical Delivery: Provide rapid, high-quality emergency nursing care, triage, and stabilization for acute patients and their families in a fast-paced Emergency Department.
- Multidisciplinary Collaboration: Establish strong partnerships with emergency physicians, staff, and interdisciplinary care teams to execute critical care plans and manage complex trauma/medical cases.
- Relationship-Based Care: Utilize critical thinking and independent judgment to assess, monitor, and advocate for patients during acute episodes of care.
- Comprehensive Documentation & Safety: Maintain precise EMR documentation, participate in unit-based shared governance, and actively engage in quality improvement efforts to elevate patient outcomes.
- Patient & Family Education: Deliver clear, compassionate instructions and education regarding acute treatments, safety protocols, and level-of-care transitions.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience: 0 to 2 years of nursing experience; open to both new BSN graduates and experienced emergency/acute care RNs with a BSN.
- Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in EMR navigation, specialized emergency medical equipment, resuscitation protocols, and rapid clinical triaging.
- Industry Knowledge: Understanding of emergency care standards, life-span growth and development, evidence-based practices, and patient safety goals.
- Soft Skills: Outstanding composure under pressure, adaptability, effective communication, physical stamina, and strong critical thinking.
- Licensure & Clearances: Current PA Registered Nurse (RN) license or valid multistate Nursing Licensure Compact (NLC) license
