The Role & Your Impact
As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for maintaining efficient warehouse operations while ensuring the highest standards of safety, quality, and inventory accuracy.
Key responsibilities include:
- Pick and pack customer orders accurately to support on-time shipment and customer satisfaction.
- Plan and coordinate material transfers between multiple warehouse locations to ensure materials are available for production and customer needs.
- Prioritize safety in all aspects of daily work, including conducting routine equipment safety inspections.
- Maintain clean, organized, and efficient warehouse environments.
- Assist with cycle counts and physical inventory activities.
- Utilize SAP and other business systems to perform inventory transactions and material movements.
- Lead and support problem-solving and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Foster positive, professional communication and collaboration across departments while escalating issues appropriately.
To succeed in this role, you will bring:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of two years of experience in shipping, receiving, warehouse operations, inventory control, or similar.
- Experience working with inventory control processes and warehouse management systems.
- Ability to operate multiple types of forklifts safely and effectively.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a continuous improvement mindset.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining accurate inventory records.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
The following qualifications are beneficial but not required:
- Experience using SAP or other ERP systems.
- Experience supporting process improvement initiatives.
- Knowledge of warehouse best practices and inventory optimization.
- Previous experience working in manufacturing, biotechnology, food, or regulated environments.
- Interest in learning new technologies and improving operational efficiency.
- Monday through Friday 9:30am-6pm with occasional weekend work as business needs require.
- On-site role based in New Berlin, Wisconsin.
- Work takes place in a warehouse environment.
- Regular movement throughout the warehouse is required.
- Must be able to occasionally lift and move items weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Flexibility to support operational priorities and inventory activities when needed.
- Commitment to following all safety procedures and operational requirements.
- Starting pay: $21.00 per hour
