Maintenance Technician| Hiring Immediately | Macon, Georgia

Compensation:

• Competitive starting pay range of $33.04-$41.60 per hour, paid weekly

Available Shift: 

• 1st Shift
• 12-hour
• 6:30 AM - 6:30 PM
• 5-2-2-5

Job Overview:  Maintenance Technician IV role is responsible for performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting and repairing facility and production equipment to support the facilities manufacturing schedule.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

· Follows all documented safety, quality, and maintenance procedures.

· Responds promptly to safety hazards and machine breakdowns.

· Understands and interprets blueprints required for work.

· Performs routine mechanical repair on equipment.

· Completes documentation related to the task at hand.

· Maintains excellent housekeeping standards to maintain a safe work area.

· Maintains effective communication with operators and plant supervision.

· Immediately addresses and reports safety issues or hazards.

· Maintains excellent safety record.

· Maintains excellent attendance record.

· Performs other duties as assigned.

Experience:

• Demonstrated industrial maintenance experience.
•  At least two (2) years of experience in a manufacturing environment; including successful completion of jobs or similar activities.
• Demonstrated self-compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Experience with a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS); Maintenance Connection experience preferred.

 Qualifications:

• Interpersonal skills.
•  Basic computer knowledge.
• Demonstrate initiative in addressing and/or resolving repair issues.
• Effective communication skills.
• Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

 This position is located in a manufacturing location. Physical requirements will include but are not limited to:

• Standing for lengthy periods of time (frequent)
• Sitting for extended periods of time (frequent)
• Climbing up/down stairs/ladders/platforms (occasional)
• Working in a manufacturing environment that includes periods of hot and cold weather, dust, noise above 85 dBA, occasional odors, and moving equipment (frequent)

 Working conditions:

• Must have a basic knowledge of hand and power tools.
• Must have personal tools up to one (1) inch.
• Must be able to stand and/kneel frequently, lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis, and work in a manufacturing environment.
• Must be available on an on-call basis.

 Education:

•  High School Diploma or GED
•  Technical school certificate or diploma in a specific work-related area preferred
