Key Responsibilities
· Accessioning of specimens received into the laboratory
· Unpacking and routing specimens to their respective storage areas
· Data entry in an accurate and timely manner
· Accurately identifying and labeling specimens
· Tasks are to be performed in such an order as to continue the workload of the lab technicians within the lab
· Resolving and documenting any problem specimens
· Update incoming specimen processors of all pertinent information regarding current tasks being performed
· Maintaining and documenting all forms as per SOP
· Communicating across platforms bout specimens and issues that may arise
· Maintain courteous and professional relationships with coworkers and supervisors
Preferred Background/Requirements
· Associate degree or higher in a science-related field is preferred.
· Previous data entry experience and organizational skills. Experience with LIMS is strongly preferred
· Must be detailed oriented
· Ability to handle high work volume accurately at a fast pace
· Be able to work independently of supervision
· Proficient in MS office/excel
· Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English fluently
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $21.00 - $23.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
