Responsibilities:

• Perform routine and complex molecular testing, in accordance with SOPs.
• Prepare specimens for testing and analysis using various laboratory equipment and instruments.
• Review, record and release specimen test results.
• Compile and maintain records to ensure state and federal regulations are upheld for all reagents, procedures, and equipment used in the testing process.
• Ensure adherence to safety and procedural guidelines.
• Assist in the development, validation, and implementation of new laboratory methods/services.
• Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues.
• Cross-train in other teams as needed.

Qualifications: 

• Bachelor’s degree in a related scientific area, such as molecular biology, genetics, etc.
• Detail oriented, organized, flexible and independent
• Good time management and multi-tasking skills
• Experience with pipette handling
• Experience with automated liquid handlers would be a plus
• Good oral and written communications skills, critical thinking
• Able to work weekend shift when needed

Job Type: Full-time

Base Salary: $22~$24 per hour
