The Position
The Logistic Associate will provide multi-faceted support to materials, quality, procurement, warehouse, and manufacturing operations. Daily routine will consist of providing direct support to materials and warehouse operations along with interdepartmental support across our bio-production facility. This role may deal with inbound and outbound shipments, including regulated biological materials, and will be expected to gain understanding of a variety of governmental permitting/tariff procedures to facilitate international transport of regulated materials. In addition this role may be tasked with coordinating external logistics partners responsible for domestic and international physical shipment of materials/product. SAP experience is a plus, also can consider candidates with other relevant ERP system experience. Our facility manufactures lifesaving medicine for our patients and this role will be expected to have strong documentation skills and a quality focused mindset, in order to prepare for potential internal or external audits in line with GMP and FDA requirements. Incumbent will be expected to excel in a fast-paced environment where priorities can change quickly, while also taking into consideration the downstream effects and regulatory requirements of actions.
This is an onsite role Monday-Friday based at our West Lebanon, NH bio-production facility.
Relationships
Reports to: Supervisor, Materials & Logistics
Essential Functions
- Primary responsible for change management and deviation response
- Assist or Manage department training program
- Coordinate the development of training materials
- Assist in planning and budgeting of training activities
- Coordinate and deliver basic SAP training for site
- Develop and report Materials KPIs
- Manage stock count program for plant materials, including regulated biological substances
- Produce counts, investigate differences, and reconcile differences
- Materials obsolescence review and disposition
- Support system for providing kits to Manufacturing/Facilities for system turnarounds
- Analyze and assess physical material flows
- Support contract management and supplier management activities
- Provide backup for shipping, receiving, and warehouse team (product shipments/large receipts/vacations/absences)
- Provide support for ad hoc projects
- Performs all job duties and responsibilities in a compliant and ethical manner and in accordance with all applicable healthcare laws, regulations, and industry codes
- Incorporates the Novo Nordisk Way and 10 Essentials in all activities and interactions with others
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Education and Certifications:
- High School Diploma required
- Associate’s Degree in Business, Supply Chain or related field preferred
- Work Experience:
- High School Diploma with four (4) plus years of experience in warehouse or materials functions required
- Associate’s Degree with two (2) plus year of experience in warehouse or materials functions preferred
- Biotechnology or pharmaceutical experience preferred
- Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Skills & abilities:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; good presentation skills a plus
- Excellent analytical and computer skills including Excel and material management systems
- Three to five (3-5) years of experience in a warehouse ERP system; SAP preferred
- Knowledge of Biotech/Pharmaceutical production supply chain principles and cGMPs preferred
- Proven process improvement and problem-solving skills
- Able to develop and manage action plans to achieve targets

Physical requirements and working environment: The ability to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, stand, and walk. The ability to push, pull, lift, finger, and grasp. The ability to speak, listen, and understand verbal and written communication. Repetition including substantial movement of wrists, hands, and or fingers. Lifting up to 33 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 30 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Visual acuity to perform close activities such as: reading, writing, and analyzing; operating a motor vehicle or heavy equipment, and to determine the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of work assigned or to make general observations. The working environment includes a variety of physical conditions, working in narrow aisles, and temperature changes.
