Order Puller/Forklift Operator 2nd Shift

Position Summary 

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Order Puller/Forklift Operator to join our team. This role involves manually pulling lumber and millwork orders from the warehouse for shipment, using an RF scanner to ensure accuracy, and using forklift for loading/unloading heavy loads onto flatbed trailers. Responsibilities include measuring in linear feet, verifying product counts, labeling, building pallets, and delivering completed loads to designated areas. The ideal candidate should be familiar with lumber and millwork products, able to lift heavy loads repeatedly, work closely with the warehouse team to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment, and have strong forklift operation skills and a focus on safety.

Monday - Friday  230pm - finish

Pay 

$20/hr

Essential Responsibilities 

• Scan locations and pull products using an RF Scanner to fulfill customer orders safely and effectively. 

• Operates a forklift to move products and pallets throughout the warehouse to an area safely. 

• Ensures all units are organized, leveled, and tightly built for transport. 

• Communicate any discrepancies, product issues, or safety issues with the Supervisor. 

• Place the completed and labeled order into the designated area once the order is fulfilled. 

• Successfully passes all Novo forklift training and operates a forklift following all safety requirements established within Novo. 

• Successfully passes all Novo tugger training and operates a tugger following all safety requirements established within Novo. 

• Maintains a clean work area, sweeping, rebinding loose bundles, etc. 

• Performs other duties as assigned. 

Basic Qualifications (Required) 

• Effectively performs all essential functions, including physical requirements. 

• Experience with operating a forklift with a rate rating of 6,500 pounds. 

• Use of proper PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) and company-approved tools while remaining aware of hazards. and maintaining a safe work environment Ability to move awkward product lengths and weights. 

• Basic math, interpersonal/team, and reasoning skills. 

• Ability to read, understand, and carry out written procedures and standard work instructions. 

• Must be 18 years of age or older. 

• Flexibility in scheduling – able to work overtime as needed. 

• Valid Drivers license

Preferred Qualifications 

• Prior experience in distribution or manufacturing environment. 

• Prior experience driving industrial-powered equipment. 

• Experience operating a forklift primarily with product weights of 2500 lbs. or more. 

• Prior experience lifting wide loads as long as 18 feet. 

• Minimum one year of experience operating a forklift. 

• High School Diploma and GED

• Lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs. without assistance. 

• Lift, push, or pull 75-100 lbs. with assistance.
