Position Summary
We are looking for a detailed Inventory AP Specialist to enter inventory invoices into scanning ERP systems, doing so in a timely and accurate manner. This position is responsible for various accounting-related inventory activities including reporting, reconciliations, organizing, filing, maintaining documentation and investigating discrepancies.
Essential Responsibilities
- Verifies the accuracy of invoices and ensures inventory related documents are entered/emailed to the scanning software/ERP System.
- Reviews and enters intercompany and transfer transactions.
- Ensures the accuracy and timeliness of all data entry.
- Processes discrepancies via scanning software
- Compiles any reporting and reconciliations as directed by manager.
- Finalizes monthly inventory schedules.
- Inputs and validates Direct/Drop invoices.
- Completes other inventory or accounting related reports, reconciliations, and activities as defined or requested by manager.
- Maintains and provides accurate and effective documentation per company policy to ensure it is readily available for any audit purposes and supports any audit requests.
Basic Qualifications (Required)
- High School Diploma
- Experience in Accounting or Accounts Receivable field.
- Demonstrated understanding of basic accounting principles.
- Functional knowledge of computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, Outlook.
- High degree of accuracy
- Demonstrated ability to work with ERP systems and databases.
- Capability to communicate efficiently with all levels of employees, management, customers, and vendors both verbally and in written form.
- Capacity to multi-task with speed and accuracy while prioritizing tasks and ability to maintain excellent organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- One to three years of related accounting experience specifically in Accounts Payable.
- Experience with Cloud Suite Distribution system.
Travel Requirements
- Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out of the area travel and overnight may be expected.
