Overview:
General Shop Hand is an entry level position that reports to the Production Supervisor. A General Shop Hand is responsible for assisting the production team in completing customer orders per the direction of their supervisor. It is essential the General Shop Hand promotes a safe and efficient work environment while embracing a continuous improvement culture.
Essential Duties:
General Shop Hand is an entry level position that reports to the Production Supervisor. A General Shop Hand is responsible for assisting the production team in completing customer orders per the direction of their supervisor. It is essential the General Shop Hand promotes a safe and efficient work environment while embracing a continuous improvement culture.
Essential Duties:
- Aiding with general assembly in fabrication department
- Safely cut, grind, and drill metal or wood components using hand and power tools
- Assist co-workers and the department supervisor with meeting production targets
- Component assembly, filling customer orders, preparing shipments for LTL delivery
- Maintain a healthy and safe working environment
- Paint product components in paint booth
- Take on other duties as necessary to achieve company goals
- Ability to read a tape measure up to 16ths
- Self-motivated with ability to work independently and efficiently
- Solid communication skills
- Be able to lift and carry heavy objects (50 pounds )
- Hourly - Full Time (M-F; 3:15PM-11:45PM; potential overtime opportunities)
- $2 Shift differential
- Works out of our Salem NH location, 1 Northwestern Drive
- Weekly pay on Thursdays
