Technical Job Functions
- Load/unload parts on CNC machines to support maximum spindle utilization time. Inspect and monitor parts as they are completed on the machine.
- Detect malfunctions in machine operations such as worn or damaged cutting tools.
- Deburr and blend all machined parts.
- Perform daily maintenance on machines including maintaining fluid levels, emptying chips, wiping down machine to remove coolant, dust, and debris.
- Maintain an organized clean and safe work environment.
- Effectively communicate appropriate information during shift change.
Education and Experience
- Must have a high school diploma or equivalent plus 2 years of experience.
- 2 years of applicable machining experience or combination of experience and machine trade school.
- Must be willing to work any shift.
- Must be willing to work overtime (as requested).
- Must have reliable transportation to and from the job site.
- Experience with CNC systems (prefer experience in Siemens 840D and Fanuc)
- Experience on G codes.
- Experience in using measuring tools ( calipper vernier, micrometer, etc)
- Experience in manufacturing or industrial engineering and strong analytical skills.
- Experience in the design and development of machine tooling process and methods.
- Familiarity with machining and other fabrication processes.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Programs (Excel, Word, Access)
