What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assoc Recycling Operator position at Novelis Greensboro Manufacturing Facility?
Position Overview:

Responsibilities & Qualifications:
The following list includes primary responsbilities and is not meant to be all-inclusive:
- Actively particpate in elements of Greensboro, Novelis Safety System
- Ensure compliance to environmental requirements
- Unload trucks
- Ensure quality of incoming material
- Maintain feed rate to melters
- Maintain records using computerized systems, including SAP/MES
- Account for receipt/shipment of material by truck
- Basica maintenance of cold metal equipment
- Keep all work areas clean and bright
This is a list of physical requirements, related to a person's ability to handle certain physical, mental, emotional demands of the position:
- Climb on/off fork truck several times a day
- Climb stairs occasionally
- Lift up to 50 lbs
- Work rotatin shift schedule, including nights and weekends
- Be able to work a temperatures <50 degrees in the winter to >100 degrees in the summer
Novelis’ Greensboro facility is located in Greensboro Georgia. With 140 employees it is the first stand-alone used beverage can recycling facility in the company now responsible for pioneering a majority of Novelis’ recycling technologies. Residents enjoy nearby Lake Oconee which includes several golf communities. In addition Athens Georgia – home to the University of Georgia and hundreds of cultural and sporting events each year – is a short drive away.
