Position Overview

The Novelis Data Engineering team is seeking a highly motivated AI Engineer Intern with knowledge of Large Language Models (LLMs), Generative AI (GenAI), chatbots, and data engineering. The ideal candidate will assist in the continuous improvement and maintenance of our already developed AI products.

Responsibilities

· Develop and enhance chatbots for improved customer and operational interactions.

· Learn the existing data models, developed by the Digital Team, and assist in the optimization and fine-tuning of existing AI models, including LLMs.

· Conduct thorough testing and validation of AI models to ensure performance and accuracy.

· Learn/understand the functional processes within Supply Chain, Procurement, Manufacturing Operations etc., and understand common data manipulation and transformation tasks.

· Understand software development lifecycle and work in a professional environment.

· Learn Databricks, PySpark, Git, Azure DevOps and other tools that are used within Novelis’ Analytics ecosystem.

Minimum Qualifications

· Master’s in software engineering or currently enrolled in a program

· A proficient understanding and write efficient code using Python, SQL, and PySpark based framework

· Strong understanding of machine learning algorithms, LLMs, and GenAI

· Experience in developing and deploying chatbots

· Understanding of Agile development processes

· Understanding of git workflow and CI/CD.

· Experience in Collaborative and Iterative Development

· Desire for continuous development and learning opportunities

· Strong analytical, organizational, presentation, and time management skills
