What are the responsibilities and job description for the Staking Coordinator position at Novel Energy Solutions?
Reports to: Civil Foreman
Summary:
The staking coordinator works with the construction team to set up construction staking points in accordance to survey results.
Job Responsibilities
- Perform the necessary staking tasks to complete the construction of solar gardens.
- Identify and complete staking for civil work, access roads, and fences.
- Complete staking where arrays go for piles.
- Compute points for staking and import/export data points to/from tabs files to data collection.
- Export CAD files for data collection in the field.
- Identify and establish known control points and monuments.
- Ability to set up and operate a robotic total station.
- Complete work within the scope, budget, and schedule.
- Plan, execute, and document projects.
- Communicate and collaborate with team members on all project work.
- Complete specific quality control tasks.
- Seek cost savings through market analysis and eliminating waste.
- Maintain a culture of continuous improvement and problem-solving under frequent deadlines.

Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to work in-office as well as occasionally on project sites and could be exposed to ongoing construction and various weather conditions.

- Proficiency in Procore
- Proficiency in using Field Trimble R8 Receiver, or equivalent survey equipment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
