🔧 The Role
We’re seeking an experienced Steel Estimator to join a premier AISC-certified fabricator/erector in the Southeast. You’ll prepare accurate estimates for structural and miscellaneous steel projects — supporting bids, proposals, and client relationships that drive business growth.
📋 Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate structural & misc steel estimates.
- Review drawings/specs, perform takeoffs & cost breakdowns.
- Negotiate vendor/sub pricing and optimize costs.
- Build proposals and interface with GCs/owners/engineers.
- Support project handoff to PMs and schedules.
- Mentor junior staff and maintain vendor/client relations.
✅ What You Bring
- 5 years’ steel estimating experience (structural & misc).
- Skilled in Bluebeam, Tekla EPM, PowerFab (or similar software).
- Strong math/analytical skills, accuracy under deadlines.
- Background in industrial & commercial steel construction.
- Strong communicator and collaborator with client-facing ability.
