Job Title: Tekla Checker
Location: Charlotte, North Carolina(On-Site)
Salary: $70,000 – $110,000 (DOE) Relocation Support
The Company
Our client is a well-established, family-owned structural and miscellaneous steel company based in North Carolina. As an AISC-certified fabricator and service center, they deliver full end-to-end steel solutions including field measurement, design, detailing, fabrication, project management, and on-site erection across a wide range of projects nationwide.
Day to day
- Review and check Tekla Structures models and drawings for accuracy and completeness
- Ensure constructability and compliance with industry and company standards
- Collaborate closely with the team
- Provide technical feedback to improve detailing quality and efficiency
- Support expanding in-house detailing operations with additional checking capacity
Requirements
- Strong experience with Tekla Structures is essential
- Senior-level structural steel detailing background preferred
- Deep technical understanding of steel detailing practices and standards
- Background with a fabricator transitioning into detailing highly desirable
- Willingness to work on-site (non-negotiable)
