Job Title: Senior Estimator/Estimator (Structural/Misc Steel)

Core Function:
To be responsible for estimating project costs using customer-provided documents and drawings. This role involves ensuring accurate material, labor, and vendor cost estimations to meet project scope requirements.

Responsibilities:
- Perform lump sum “takeoff” of material, labor, and vendor costs using design drawings and specifications.
- Communicate with General Contractors to clarify project requirements and timelines.
- Request and manage vendor quotes for materials and services.
- Review project specifications to ensure full scope coverage in estimates.
- Provide the estimating manager with detailed Scope of Work, inclusions/exclusions, and qualifications for proposal submission.
- Track bid progress and follow up with contractors on bid awards.
Requirements:
- High School diploma required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years experience in the steel fabrication industry.
- Ability to read and interpret structural/architectural drawings.
- Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel, and experience with Blue Beam and On-Screen Takeoff.
- Knowledge of AISC practices, construction standards, and procedures from award to closeout.
