Job Title: Civil Engineer (PE)
Location: Northern Nevada, USA
Salary: $145,000–$225,000 DOE
Day to Day
We're recruiting on behalf of an industry-leading organisation looking for a Senior Civil Engineer to take ownership of complex civil design projects from concept through to construction. This is a unique opportunity for an experienced Professional Engineer who remains hands-on with design while also leading project delivery.
In this role, you will:
- Own civil design packages from concept through construction.
- Produce and amend designs using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
- Develop site layouts, grading, drainage, stormwater, utilities and earthworks designs.
- Support permitting, entitlements and land development activities.
- Manage internal design resources and external civil engineering consultants.
- Write scopes of work and prepare RFPs for engineering consultants.
- Review consultant proposals and oversee project delivery.
- Support industrial, infrastructure and energy projects across a range of complex sites.
Requirements
- Professional Engineer (PE) licence in at least one US state.
- Willingness to obtain Nevada PE reciprocity (active NCEES record highly desirable).
- 10–15 years of civil engineering experience.
- Strong background in land development, site development, industrial facilities, mining, public works, utilities or large infrastructure projects.
- Hands-on experience using AutoCAD Civil 3D, with the ability to personally produce and amend civil designs.
- Experience owning civil design packages from concept through construction.
- Experience managing external engineering consultants and coordinating project delivery.
- Knowledge of grading, drainage, stormwater, utilities, earthworks and site development.
- Experience writing scopes of work and managing RFP processes is highly desirable.
- Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) experience is advantageous but not essential.
