Novato Toyota is looking for a friendly, organized, and customer-focused Customer Care Representative to support our busy service department. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys helping people, staying organized, and working in a fast-paced team environment.
In this role, you’ll assist with customer communication, appointment scheduling, follow-up calls, and administrative support that helps keep our service department running smoothly. This position includes both inbound and outbound phone communication and plays an important part in delivering a positive customer experience.
Responsibilities
Handle inbound and outbound phone calls in a professional and friendly manner
Schedule, confirm, reschedule, and follow up on service appointments
Contact customers when parts arrive and help coordinate service visits
Follow up with customers regarding missed appointments, maintenance reminders, and pending service recommendations
Assist customers with general service-related questions and route calls to the appropriate department when needed
Help maintain accurate customer records and appointment information
Update spreadsheets and internal tracking documents as needed
Support service advisors, parts staff, and management with communication and customer follow-up
Assist with customer retention efforts through proactive outreach and appointment follow-up
Help ensure a smooth and positive experience for service customers
Qualifications
Previous customer service, administrative, receptionist, call center, or similar experience is a plus
Strong communication skills, especially over the phone
Comfortable making outbound calls and speaking with customers throughout the day
Basic computer skills, including email, data entry, and spreadsheets
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Positive attitude, reliability, and willingness to learn
Automotive experience is helpful, but not required—we’re happy to train the right candidate
