We are looking for a seasoned Head of Portfolio Management with a strong background in Private Equity, Venture Capital, and Search Funds who possesses extensive experience of what it takes to manage and grow portfolio companies in the United States & Canada. The role is pivotal to the success of Novastone Capital Advisors, as it involves maximizing value by actively participating in the strategic decision-making processes of NCA's portfolio companies and closely monitoring their performance throughout the investment lifecycle.
Please note that while board participation is a minor aspect of the role, the primary responsibilities are highly dynamic and hands-on with a focus on providing clear financial metrics, direction and fostering strong relationships with key stakeholders. This is not a consulting position.
Main Responsibilities :
Value Creation & Strategic Guidance
- Contribute to the development and implementation of strategic growth and value creation plans.
- Act as a 'sparring partner' for CEOs in building and executing value creation plans and potential exit strategies.
- Provide strategic insights and guidance to ensure the alignment of company goals with broader organizational objectives.
- Serve on the Board of Directors of NCA portfolio companies.
- Track financial metrics, operational performance, and overall business health of portfolio companies.
- Identify and manage potential risks by assessing market conditions, industry trends, and challenges that could impact performance.
- Ensure portfolio companies are on track to meet their goals and deliver expected returns for investors.
- Maintain a high level of oversight to protect investor interests and ensure transparency and accountability.
