Job Overview
Are you passionate about precision, technology, and hands-on problem solving? Novastar Solutions is seeking an enthusiastic Entry Level Calibration Technician to join our Calibration Team. In this role, you will be responsible for calibrating a wide variety of inspection, measurement, and test equipment (IMTE), and will play a vital part in ensuring the accuracy and reliability of complex equipment through calibration, troubleshooting, and maintenance. While Novastar Calibration is headquartered in Livonia, MI, this on-site position will be located in Portage, MI.
Duties
- Assist with the calibration of precision measurement instruments, sensors, and control systems using schematics, and calibration procedures.
- Prepare documentation and utilize tracking systems as requested for completed calibrations.
- Adhere to strict protocols to ensure quality of work for our client(s).
- Maintain a safe work environment by following all safety protocols
- Other duties as assigned by Lab Supervisor
Qualifications
- Strong attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills
- Effective time management skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to multitask effectively
- Ability to work Full-time, Monday through Friday during first shift
- Overtime as required (infrequent)
- Ability to physically handle a variety of test equipment
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
This is a base-level position within the Calibration Lab, and upward mobility may be available to employees with exemplary work effort. On-the-job training/apprenticeship would be provided.
Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
