What are the responsibilities and job description for the Digital SAT In-Person Class Instructor position at Novastar Prep Tutoring?
Novastar Prep is seeking an experienced Digital SAT instructor to teach in-person SAT preparation classes in Lanham, MD. This position is for educators who are already fluent in the Digital SAT format and can lead a structured classroom with confidence from day one.
The instructor will be responsible for teaching Digital SAT Reading, Writing & Language, and Math, with a strong emphasis on test strategy, pacing, question analysis, and score improvement. This is a classroom-based role and is not a general homework-help or entry-level tutoring position.
Qualified candidates must have prior experience teaching or tutoring the SAT, demonstrated familiarity with the Digital SAT platform and adaptive test structure, and the ability to clearly explain test strategies to groups of students. Strong classroom management skills and professional communication are essential.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree (required)
Minimum of 1 year of SAT teaching or tutoring experience
Expert-level knowledge of the Digital SAT format and question types
Ability to teach in person in Lanham, MD
Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license
Ability to commit to at least one academic semester
Basic comfort using digital teaching tools
Ability to pass a background check
Compensation and Benefits:
$45-$55 per hour for in-person instruction (DOE)
Bi-weekly direct deposit
