Description
Novaspect, Inc., an Emerson Impact Partner and employee-owned organization, is seeking an Accountant to support the Finance team with accurate financial recording, reconciliation, analysis, and reporting. This role requires an individual who can work independently within established processes, contribute to month-end close activities, and partner with operations.
Accountant Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepare and post journal entries as part of month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities
- Prepare and review balance sheet account reconciliations; investigate and resolve variances
- Review and post commissionable orders and record commissionable revenue
- Assist with fixed asset accounting, including capital purchases and depreciation
- Prepare and analyze financial reports, including revenue, gross margin, and expense trends
- Ensure financial records and reporting are prepared in accordance with GAAP
- Support internal controls and compliance efforts
- Assist with audit activities and provide supporting documentation as needed
- File or assist with monthly state sales and use tax returns
- Provide day-to-day accounting support to operations and cross-functional teams
- Participate in special projects, process improvements, and ad-hoc analysis as assigned
Requirements
Accountant Education and/or Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required
- 2–5 years of accounting experience preferred
- Experience in an industrial, manufacturing, or project-based environment a plus
- CPA preferred but not required
- ERP system experience preferred; IFS familiarity a plus
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suite
- Solid understanding of general ledger accounting and reconciliations
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Ability to identify, research, and resolve accounting discrepancies
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines independently
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment
Accountant Additional Requirements:
- Professional demeanor with strong customer-service orientation
- Ability to exercise sound judgment and maintain confidentiality
- Willingness to support peak workload periods, including close activities
Accountant Physical Requirements:
- Ability to work extended hours at a computer as required during peak periods
Accountant Pay:
- Salary Range: $70,000 -$90,000
- Potential Bonus: 5%

Salary : $70,000 - $90,000
