Position Overview
The Director of Operational Excellence will play a critical leadership role in shaping NovaSource’s operational direction and driving service excellence across global operations. Reporting directly to the Senior Vice President of Operations, this leader will collaborate closely with the Performance Optimization organization, Regional and Country Operations leaders, Engineering, EHS, and other functional teams to improve service quality, align global processes, and enhance operational efficiency.
The role is responsible for identifying operational risks, assessing business performance, and leading strategic initiatives that drive sustainable improvements in quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide oversight and support for the Authorized Service Provider (ASP) work scope and Warranty processes across operations.
- Establish, standardize, and deploy core operational service processes and procedures that enhance performance and ensure global consistency.
- Lead a U.S.-focused UPP SWOT team to mitigate risk, drive performance at key improvement sites, and deploy scalable, repeatable solutions.
- Evaluate business performance to identify gaps, implement standard work, and develop strategies to improve service quality and deliver transactional revenue goals.
- Identify and implement business system improvements to enhance customer service, workflow management, and reporting capabilities.
- Develop and manage budgets for operational improvement projects, ensuring optimal resource utilization.
- Facilitate project selection, prioritization, and execution, driving cross-functional improvement teams and removing barriers to success.
- Stay informed of industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to continuously enhance operational capability.
- Promote a culture of safety and environmental stewardship, ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Practical Approach: Applies theory to practice, developing tailored operational plans that deliver measurable ROI and service team success.
- Continuous Improvement Mindset: Proactively identifies opportunities to increase efficiency and address operational challenges through adaptive, data-driven solutions.
- Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering or a related field; equivalent industry experience may be considered.
- 7–10 years of operational leadership experience supporting field service organizations.
- 7–10 years of experience in operational excellence (OE), quality, or process improvement leadership roles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Strong communication skills — able to articulate ideas clearly, present persuasively, and engage diverse audiences.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Proven ability to define complex problems, gather data, and drive fact-based conclusions and actions.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
