Novant Health is actively recruiting an experienced physician to join their Utilization Review team, specifically to represent the NC Coastal Market which includes Brunswick and Wilmington area communities. This physician will act as a liaison between the medical staff, Utilization Review RNs, and 3rd party payers to promote the efficient utilization of resources and to select appropriate levels of medical care. The physician will serve as a member of Novant Health Utilization Review Committee. The selected candidate will participate in process/performance improvement discussions to improve clinical outcomes, compliance with regulatory requirements and address reimbursement issues. Minimal travel involved. Physician must be able to adapt to the EPIC electronic medical record system.

Qualifications
Education:
- Graduate of an accredited school of medicine required
- Completion of an accredited residency program required
- For specialty physicians - completion of an accredited fellowship program specific to medical specialty
Licensure/Certification/Registration:
- Current MD license in appropriate state
- Board certification or eligibility
- Current DEA license required
