Position Summary
As a Technical Specialist, you will play an integral role in supporting the Technical Manager across a wide range of technical service functions. Your responsibilities will include providing technical assistance, supporting trade show installations and training, performing product testing, and managing brand or account claims. This role is key to maintaining the integrity of our product performance and enhancing the overall customer experience
Key Responsibilities
- Respond promptly and professionally to technical inquiries from customers, distributors, installers, and internal teams regarding our vinyl flooring products.
- Assist the Technical Manager with product installations for trade shows, training sessions, and special events—ensuring accurate setup and high-quality presentation.
- Conduct on-site visits to inspect flooring installations, gather samples, and collect relevant data for analysis and testing.
- Deliver hands-on demonstrations and training on proper installation techniques and best practices.
- Perform detailed testing and evaluations of both new and existing products to ensure compliance with performance, safety, and industry standards.
- Support the product claims process by investigating issues, analyzing findings, and delivering clear and timely resolutions in line with company policies.
- Maintain organized and accurate technical documentation, including test results, site visit reports, and customer communication records
- Stay current with industry developments, technical innovations, and regulatory changes to provide informed recommendations and support.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a technical role within the flooring or building materials industry is preferred.
- Solid understanding of subfloor preparation, moisture testing, and site condition requirements.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret technical data and resolve issues efficiently.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly and confidently to a variety of audiences.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic work environment.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel); experience with ZOHO CRM or similar platforms is a plus.
