Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Helpdesk Technician to join our IT support team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for users experiencing technical issues, providing exceptional customer service while troubleshooting and resolving hardware and software problems. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of computer management, networking, and IT support principles.
Responsibilities
- Provide timely and effective technical support to end-users via phone, email, or in-person.
- Troubleshoot and resolve software and hardware issues for various devices.
- Utilize tools for ticket management and issue tracking.
- Assist with computer management tasks including installation, configuration, and maintenance of systems.
- Perform software troubleshooting to identify and resolve application-related issues.
- Support network administration tasks including monitoring network performance and connectivity.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient resolution of technical problems.
- Open to participating in onsite installation of network equipment, caballing, door access, cameras, etc.. Will not be expected to perform these duties alone.
- Maintain and troubleshoot VOIP.
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft 365.
- Maintain documentation of support requests, solutions provided, and user interactions.
- Stay updated on the latest technology trends and best practices in IT support.
Skills
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with users at all levels.
- Proficiency in using ticketing systems
- Understanding of computer networking concepts including TCP/IP protocols.
- Experience in software troubleshooting across various operating systems.
- Familiarity with network administration tasks to assist in maintaining network integrity.
- Solid background in IT support practices with a focus on customer satisfaction.
- Competence in diagnosing computer hardware issues and implementing solutions.
