Job Summary: Supervisors oversee manufacturing by leading staff and production processes to ensure quality product in an efficient and safe manner.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintains staff by screening, interviewing, and selecting production employees
- Communicates job expectations, company mission, and manufacturing goals to employees upon hire
- Ensures new hires receive training on established policies and procedures
- Counsels and disciplines employees to adhere to system policies and procedures
- Builds rapport with team members and provides feedback
- Resolves personnel problems by investigating issues and identifying solutions
- Tracks and maintains quality issues involving trailers
- Reports on manufacturing performance by analyzing key data
- Maintains workflow by monitoring process steps, personnel, and equipment
- Creates weekly production schedules and revises as needed
- Develops systems and procedures by analyzing operating practices and personnel requirements
- Follows up to ensure adherence to systems and procedures
- Implements corrective action for non-compliance
- Maintains a clean and safe work environment
- Stays updated on professional and technical knowledge
- Monitors absenteeism and timekeeping
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience
- Strong computer skills with Microsoft Office proficiency
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Managerial and leadership abilities
- Highly motivated individual
