California Trailers (PLCH25) has an opening for a Senior Sales Associate in Sacramento, California.
We sell trailers, trailer parts, and accessories. We also provide repairs and maintenance for trailers. We are a small team of people who work together to get things done! Job Summary: Responsible for creating a positive customer experience for anyone who calls, messages, or walks through the door of the retail store, while maintaining an excellent sales record.
Essential Functions
- Drive a strong and positive working environment with clear communication and follow-up across the retail team.
- Assist in ordering pre-sold and stock trailers from multiple sources.
- Accurately track, manage, and enter orders.
- Create and present quotes to customers.
- Negotiate sales prices and discounts with customers.
- Create and set trade-in value.
- Responsibility to retain the established margin on all sales and trades.
- Maintain strong communication with sales team, retail sales and manufacturing teams, customers, and partnering dealers.
- Complete data entry and maintain customer accounts with accuracy in our Point of Sales system.
- Track, maintain, and organize all retail sales to ensure accurate communication with customers.
- Assist with and communicate delivery schedule.
- Stay current with supply, demand, and trends in our trailer industry.
- Ensure that all licensing paperwork is completed in a timely and accurate manner and resolve problems with licensing paperwork as they arise.
- Take responsibility for the aesthetic by maintaining a clean internal and external showroom.
- Driving parts sales and service offerings in our retail location.
- Own monthly sales goals, support the team.
- Manage and strengthen existing partnerships by planning and organizing daily work schedule to call on existing customer base to identify opportunities across existing customers for increased sales opportunities.
- Maintain and grow at a minimum basic knowledge of all brand offerings. Advanced Knowledge preferred.
- Update and maintain accurate product information and appealing visuals on our company website.
- Train customers to operate and maintain new equipment.

Qualifications and Skills:
- High School Diploma or GED or equivalent demonstrated skills, abilities, and knowledge through practical application.
- Industrial sales experience, preferred.
- Excellent verbal, non-verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong dealers service skills with proven experience in conflict resolution.
- Strong computer skills with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Visual, and related software.
- Highly motivated self-starter with an inclination to consistently apply critical and analytical thinking skills.
- Ability to bend, stoop, twist, and lift regarding trailer components, and connecting trailers to vehicles to move.
- Ability to work flexible schedules including weekends.
- Ability to work in all weather conditions on retail trailer lots.
