KNOWLEDGE: A minimum of (1) years of machine operator (coating/slitter/converting textiles) experience, with a high school diploma/equivalent.

- 1st Shift: 7A – 3P
- Machine Setup: Set up and calibrate slitting machines according to specific job requirements.
- Machine Operation: Load materials onto the machine, set the appropriate parameters for desired widths or sizes. Monitor the machine during operation to ensure proper cutting and identify any issues or deviations. Closely monitor the machine's performance to ensure smooth operation and make any necessary adjustments.
- Machine Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks on the equipment to keep it in optimal working condition. This may involve cleaning, lubricating, or replacing parts as needed. They also diagnose and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions, making minor repairs or coordinating with maintenance for more significant issues.
- Quality Control: Inspect materials before and after cutting to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications. Adjust machine settings as needed to maintain product quality and accuracy. Conduct regular quality checks to identify and address any defects or inconsistencies.
- Safety & Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment. Ensure all safety features of the coating machinery are functional and that operators are using appropriate PPE (as required). Also, comply with environmental regulations and handle hazardous materials or waste in accordance with proper disposal procedures.
- Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate records of production data, including material usage, machine settings, production rates, and quality checks. Complete production reports, log any issues or deviations and communicate with supervisors or other team members regarding production status or concerns.

KNOWLEDGE: A minimum of (1) years of machine operator (coating/slitter/converting textiles) experience, with a high school diploma/equivalent.
Skills
- Forklift Certification (Preferred).
- Coating of paper and film experience. (Preferred).
- Ability to read and understand production specifications and work orders.
- Ability to neatly and accurately record required data.
- Analytical abilities to facilitate rapid problem resolution in a team environment.

- Maintain and properly store shop tools and equipment with good housekeeping.
- Basic Math: Understanding and application of addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. Including fractions and decimals.

- Flexibility & Adaptability: The ability to maintain regular attendance is critical. The ability to adapt to varying shift lengths and workdays (8 - 12-hour shifts and occasional weekends).
- Stamina: Often involves extended periods of activity and concentration.
- Time Management: Effective time management skills to stay focused, prioritize tasks, and maintain productivity throughout the entire shift.
