Position: Occupational Therapist - Hand Therapist

Location: 1198F Smiley Ave Forest Park, OH 45240

Type of Employment: Full-time

Schedule: Weekdays (Hours vary between 8am-6pm)

Compensation: $72,000 - $82,000, annually, based on years of experience

Incentives: $10,000 Sign-on Bonus and Student Debt Benefit ($350 monthly tuition assistance)

NovaCare Rehabilitation is seeking a full-time Hand Therapist-Occupational Therapist for our outpatient orthopedic center! Although a certified hand therapist (CHT) is preferred, we are willing to consider occupational therapists with a level II fieldwork in hands (required). We have a network of hand therapists and CHTs available for support and are excited to mentor occupational therapists aspiring to be a CHT. Position based out of Forest Park but will float to other clinics as necessary to provide coverage to other locations around Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky market.

Responsibilities

• Collaboration: Supervise assistants and aides and contribute to case management.
• High Standard of Care: Stay current and up to date with occupational therapy research and employ Evidence Based Practice (RCB, clinician expertise, patient perception).
• Personalized Treatment: Provide comprehensive and individualized treatment, from evaluating and creating a plan of care to treatment and discharge.
• Relationship-Building: Maintain positive level of interaction with centers and patients. Enhance and expand client relations with facilities and their staff.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

• Graduate of an American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA) -accredited school of occupational therapy
• CPR certification
• Valid driver’s license

Preferred Qualifications:

• 2 years of experience in the application of custom splinting pre and post-op orthopedic
• 1-4 years in adult rehabilitation; hand and splinting experience preferred
