Job Summary:
The Laboratory Control Technician will perform a variety of testing and verification activities within a GMP aseptic fill manufacturing facility to determine the quality of components, in-process material, and finished drugs meet specifications.
Job Scope:
As a member of the Nova-Tech Laboratory Control System team, this position will work independently as well as with other Manufacturing Systems to ensure a high-quality product with excellent customer care.
Responsibilities:
· Inspect, sample, and perform chemical and biological tests. Compare results to appropriate specifications in order to determine whether results meet specifications; approve or reject. This includes components, in-process material, finished drug products, stability studies, pre-shipment samples, and vendor material.
· Perform chemical and biological tests for validation studies
· Beginning of run, label changes, and end of run verification and documentation
· Perform WFI sampling and testing
· Manage and inspect retention samples
· Scale verification and weigh-out approval
· Conduct laboratory supply inventory and inspect incoming supplies
· Assist in miscellaneous testing
· Other duties as assigned
Knowledge and Job Skills:
· Reliable and consistent
· Detail oriented with organizational skills and ability to multitask and meet deadlines
· Accurate and good math skills
· Good composition, data input and analysis skills
· Background knowledge in natural science preferred
· Able to lift 30-50 lbs.
Minimum Education and Experience:
· Associate degree in relevant field of study plus at least 2 years of equivalent laboratory experience is preferred
· Bachelor’s degree in relevant field of study preferred
· Proficient in Excel and Word
· Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English sufficiently to perform the duties of this position
