Job Summary

This position works within the Laboratory Control System, which is one of six systems under the cGMP structure. It will work closely with other system supervisors and managers in support of the manufacturing of pharmaceuticals. It is a requirement for this position to understand the fundamentals of cGMP, including how it is implemented and applied.

This role is a technical contributor responsible for the testing, development, and technical support of sterile products. This position owns projects from development, validation, stability programs, and investigations. And serves as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) specializing in wet chemistry and analytical techniques or aseptic and microbiological techniques. The ideal candidate enjoys solving challenges, collaborating across departments, and driving innovation in a fast-paced contract manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform quality control activities in accordance with associated quality procedures and test methods.
• Leads complex testing activities and troubleshooting efforts.
• Participates in equipment qualification, validation, and laboratory process improvements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve quality-related issues and improve overall product quality.
• Supports audits, regulatory inspections, and quality investigations.
• Conducts out-of-specification (OOS) investigations, identifies Corrective and Preventative Actions (CAPA), and authors technical documentation.
• Subject Matter Expert of the implementation of chemical or microbiological methods; responsible for establishing and revising these documents.
• Provides technical guidance, training, onboarding support, and mentoring to junior laboratory staff to help build technical capability and ensure consistent laboratory practices.
• Maintain inventory management and order necessary supplies for laboratory work
• Back up position for Laboratory Control Technicians Level II and Level III

Minimum Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s in Life Sciences, Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related scientific discipline plus at least 4 years of equivalent laboratory experience
• Working knowledge of scientific principles
• Hands on experience for ICP, HPLC, and GC or aseptic and microbiological techniques
• GMP/GLP experience in validations, protocol, and report writing
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English sufficiently to perform the duties of this position
• Ability to use computer and associated programs necessary to perform the position requirements

Pay: From $22.93 per hour
