Role Description
This is a contract Medical Billing Specialist role with a remote-first work structure, with some presence in Yucaipa, CA. The role involves managing billing and coding processes, handling insurance claims, resolving denials, ensuring compliance with ICD-10 coding standards, and working closely with Medicare and other insurance providers. The Specialist will collaborate with team members to maintain accurate financial records and provide efficient billing services.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Medical Terminology and familiarity with ICD-10 coding standards
- Experience in resolving Denials and managing Insurance claims
- Knowledge of Medicare policies and procedures
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a hybrid environment
- Prior experience in mental health or medical billing is preferred
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent; certification in medical billing or coding is a plus
